Trent brings 25 years of experience investing in infrastructure to his roles as the Founder and CEO of EverWind. Prior to EverWind, Trent co-founded Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, was a Senior Managing Director at The Blackstone Group, and a Managing Director at Macquarie Bank. His leadership plays a key role in driving strategic growth, capital formation, and project execution.
As CEO, Trent leverages his extensive board experience and deep investor relationships to help scale EverWind’s clean energy platform. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Actuarial Studies) from Macquarie University in Sydney, is a qualified actuary in Australia, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Trent’s infrastructure experience includes over $20 billion in investments in Renewable Energy, Utilities, Transportation, Water, and Communications Infrastructure, as well as previously sitting on the boards of seven infrastructure companies across these sectors. Trent has raised over $15 billion in institutional capital from over 100 investors (including US Public Pension Plans, Canadian Institutions, Insurance Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Fund of Funds and High Net Worth Investors). His ability to align long-term capital with complex, capital-intensive projects has directly shaped his approach to advancing EverWind’s project and mission.

Matthew Tinari

Matthew brings over 15 years of institutional private equity, investment banking, and corporate executive experience to EverWind, with deep expertise in transportation, infrastructure and energy development, and strategic management.
At EverWind, Matthew leads financial strategy and capital planning, while also driving our growth initiatives and corporate development, as well as overseeing execution across existing operations and development projects.
Before joining EverWind, Matthew founded EverGreen Transportation & Infrastructure, an investment platform focused on reducing emissions across the maritime and logistics supply chain. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Global Corporate Development at Atlas Corp (NYSE: ATCO). Earlier in his career, he was a private equity investor at Fortress Investment Group, where he sourced and structured investments in transportation and infrastructure and held board positions with companies in the shipping and intermodal sectors. He has successfully invested over $14 billion of capital and raised over $30 billion of debt and equity in his career.
Matthew is an avid volunteer, holding multiple positions and board roles in his community, and loves staying active through sports including soccer, tennis, skiing, and hiking.

Andrew is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience across M&A, investor relations, and strategic finance. He brings a wealth of cross-industry expertise to EverWind, with a background spanning software, insurance, shipping, and technology.
At EverWind, Andrew plays a key role in defining, growing, and shaping the company’s platform through capital raising efforts, business development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and commercial structuring.
Prior to joining EverWind, Andrew held senior M&A roles across multiple industries, executing transactions totaling over $1.5 billion in value. Most recently, he led the Corporate Development function at Cornerstone OnDemand, where he oversaw M&A execution, strategic initiatives, and growth planning.
Outside of work, Andrew stays active through rock climbing, golfing, snowboarding, and hiking, and enjoys spending quality time with his family.

With over 20 years in the energy sector, a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University, a solid track record in exceeding expectations, and a keen eye focused on the future, Andrew is an exceptional collaborator and leader.
As Senior Vice President, Terminals, Andrew is accountable for all activity at our Point Tupper facility, including operations, commercial, HSE, Marine, and more. He also engages with our Energy Transition and Decarbonization projects. Andrew takes pride in listening and learning from his team to inform decision-making and guide strategy.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys sailing, golfing, skiing with his children, and credits his family for keeping him grounded and inspired.

Blaise is a seasoned professional engineer and senior project leader with more than three decades of experience in engineering, operations, and large industrial facilities. His career spans consulting engineering, oil and gas facility management, and executive roles, including work in the Caribbean and Texas before returning to Nova Scotia.
Before joining EverWind’s development team, Blaise oversaw all operations at the Point Tupper storage facility, leading health and safety, commercial operations, engineering, maintenance, and human resources. He began his career at Point Tupper in 2000 as a Project Engineer and has played a central role in the site’s evolution and long-standing success. Blaise holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Math from Mount Allison University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia.
A dedicated community supporter, Blaise established the Point Tupper Terminal Charity Golf Tournament, which has helped many children and families facing serious illness. Outside of work, he enjoys spending his time with family.
Brendan Chard

Brendan Chard

With a deep knowledge of the energy industry and extensive experience in technical and commercial roles, Brendan is well-positioned to take on the challenges presented by a project as complex as EverWind’s.
Brendan’s primary responsibilities relate to securing power supply for our projects, and the necessary arrangements to deliver this power to our production facility. A tight-knit team is critical to our success, and Brendan is crucial to the support of our renewables, engineering, and corporate development teams.
Prior to joining EverWind in 2023, Brendan worked at Emera and Nova Scotia Power for almost 20 years in roles covering risk management, trading, analytics, and portfolio optimization.
Brendan is an avid runner, having completed seven full marathons, including Boston. When he’s not running, he can be found playing tennis or baking sourdough bread. He is a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and sits on the board of the Clean Foundation.

With nearly three decades of experience leading and managing complex power and industrial projects, Chris brings deep expertise in project and construction management to his role at EverWind. He leads the planning, execution, and delivery of EverWind’s renewable energy portfolio, driving the development of large-scale wind projects that will enable the production of green hydrogen and ammonia.
Before joining EverWind, Chris spent seven years at Algonquin Power as Vice President, Construction, where he led teams responsible for delivering nearly 2,000 MW of wind, solar, storage, and renewable natural gas projects across Canada and the United States. His earlier career includes 11 years with TransCanada Energy and five years with Calpine Corporation, involved with the development and construction of over 4,000 MW of natural gas-fired power plants ranging in size from 200 to 1,000 MW.

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Claire is a strategic communications leader with a passion for driving meaningful engagement in the energy and environmental sectors. With extensive experience in marketing and public relations, she excels at crafting compelling narratives that connect organizations with their audiences.
Before joining EverWind, Claire worked as the Senior Communications Manager at the Ecology Action Centre, where she led communications strategies to inspire action on climate and environmental issues. She has held roles in marketing and communications across the non-profit and corporate sectors, specializing in brand storytelling and community engagement. She also holds an honours degree in Sociology from Queen’s University and an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC).
Claire is an avid surfer and represented Team Canada at the 2023 and 2024 ISA Longboard Surfing World Games in El Salvador. She enjoys ceramics, thrifting, hiking, camping, and spending time with her SPCA rescue dog, Harley. Claire brings her lifelong passion for protecting coastal ecosystems to her role as a board member of the Sable Island Institute.

Daniel’s background spans the technical and commercial sides of green hydrogen and ammonia development, with experience in leading complex infrastructure initiatives, negotiating offtake agreements with global energy companies, and engaging directly with Indigenous partners and local governments. He is a crucial asset to EverWind’s growth and positioning as a green fuels leader.
Daniel leads our strategic initiatives, focusing on partnerships, investment structuring, and market expansion. His role bridges internal project teams and external investors, governments, and offtakers.
Prior to joining EverWind, his experiences on projects that bridged clean energy, global trade, and decarbonization laid the groundwork for the kinds of partnerships EverWind is building today and underscored how global-scale logistics must align with local sustainability goals.
Outside of work, Daniel stays engaged through non-profit board work that focuses on the climate, economic development, and leadership. When he’s not working or volunteering, he’s bonding with friends over good food, meaningful conversations, and spontaneous weekend adventures.

Marine Manager
David is an experienced marine and terminal operations leader with more than three decades in environmental management, health and safety, security, and regulatory engagement. A graduate of Saint Mary’s University, David has been involved in the evolution of the Point Tupper facility since the early 1990s, contributing to planning, design, reactivation, and long-term operations.
David led the environmental assessment and approval process for the 1992 to 1995 restart of the Point Tupper facility and played a central role in developing its health and safety programs, environmental monitoring systems, emergency response plans, marine response protocols, contractor management, and security procedures. Throughout his career, he has supported project management, field safety, inspections, and audits across major industrial projects.
David has contributed extensively to regional and national regulatory initiatives, including reviews of the Nova Scotia Environment Act and the Canada Shipping Act, and has served on committees and advisory boards with Transport Canada, the Canadian Coast Guard, and Environment Canada focused on emergency planning, tanker safety, marine protection, and oil spill monitoring and recovery.
He currently manages Point Tupper Marine Services Company, which provides marine coordination, vessel vetting, and operational support for all activity at the EverWind terminal. The company also operates a Transport Canada certified marine oil spill response organization, overseeing prevention, preparedness, and response programs across marine and land-based operations.
David has been an active community member through roles with the Strait Area Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Occupational Centre Society, and L’Arche Cape Breton.

Emma joined EverWind in 2023 eager to find a workplace that was environment-focused, fast paced, and community-centred. A real team player, she shares our drive for positive impact, benefitting the environment and development of the province as a whole.
Emma is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations and financial reporting, developing and maintaining internal controls and financial systems, and providing financial insights to support decision-making and growth. She collaborates across multiple teams to ensure financial plans align with EverWind’s long-term goals.
Before joining EverWind, she was a Senior Manager in assurance at KPMG with a background in financial reporting (CPA) and worked in a variety of industries – from large maritime-founded companies to smaller start-ups. Her hard work has culminated into almost 10 years of valuable experience.
Emma is all about helping things grow, which is why when she’s not preoccupied setting us up for success, she can be found tending to her garden.
Glenn Marchand

With over 30 years of experience at the EverWind Terminals, Glenn has built a well-rounded career across multiple operational and leadership roles. He attended trade school for Instrumentation and is certified as a Fourth-Class Power Engineer.
Glenn began working on site as a tank cleaner and went on to work in security, operations, and inventory/traffic. His hard work and expertise progressed his career, earning a promotion to Shift Supervisor, then Operations Manager, Terminal Manager, and currently serves as General Manager.
As General Manager, Glenn oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility, focusing on safe, efficient, and reliable operations. His deep operational background allows him to lend support and step in for the Terminal Services Manager and Operations Superintendent when needed.
Before joining EverWind, Glenn had the opportunity work at other terminals in Europe and the Caribbean, gaining valuable experience that continues to support his work at the Point Tupper facility.
Outside of work, Glenn enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and is a passionate hockey fan.

Equipped with a background as an environmental scientist and an Environmental Assessment practitioner, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Francis Xavier University, and a Master’s of Environmental Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Jeff brings pivotal expertise in navigating provincial and federal permitting processes to all EverWind projects.
Jeff is responsible for managing our team of environmental consultants, leading the environmental permitting of all our renewables and green fuels projects, and ensuring compliance with environmental approvals across every project.
Before joining EverWind, Jeff worked as a Project Manager at an environmental consulting firm managing a variety of projects, in several different industries, across Canada. His main focus was on environmental permitting of wind power projects. He led several Environmental Assessments in Nova Scotia and was part of federal Environmental Impact Statements.
In his spare time, Jeff loves road cycling, cooking, and spending quality time with his family.

With over 25 years of experience in the western Canadian petrochemical and oil and gas sector, John applies his strong commitment to safety and expertise in large-scale project management to advancing the EverWind projects in Nova Scotia. Contributing to a cornerstone green initiative for Canada is both motivating and incredibly meaningful to him.
John has worked on major projects throughout his career, including a petrochemical development – the first of its scale in Canada. Transitioning to pioneering green ammonia projects with EverWind felt like a natural, exciting progression of his career. His role is especially rewarding as it allows him to further refine front-end project development alongside a world-class team.
In his free time, John enjoys collecting and restoring vintage hi-fi equipment, as well as staying active by skiing and mountain biking on the trails.

As Director of Engagement, Mark is passionate about maximizing the benefits of our projects in the communities where we work. He joined EverWind with a singular drive to get involved with projects that transform regional areas of Atlantic Canada, provide opportunities for decades, and contribute to rural economic development by decarbonizing industries.
Mark’s role is all about transforming complex clean energy initiatives into reality by building powerful coalitions between industry, communities, and government partners. This is achieved by developing environmental education programs, creating accessible engagement strategies, and directing community outreach.
Prior to joining EverWind, Mark was the CEO of an Outdoor Education non-profit in Australia. During his tenure, he led a broad team working in dynamic environments to deliver environmental education for thousands of people annually. He has an undergraduate from Dalhousie University and Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Lakehead University.
Mark grew up in rural Nova Scotia, loves spending time outdoors with his family, and staying active by surfing, mountain biking, and skiing. Immersing himself in nature, especially in rural northern Nova Scotia, brings him joy and keeps him grounded.

Matt Borys is a seasoned finance executive with deep expertise across capital markets, M&A, treasury, and strategic corporate finance. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction from McMaster University.
Matt’s role as VP, Corporate Development, includes identifying, structuring, and executing transformative transactions, building and enhancing operations, aligning capital with strategic priorities, and driving long-term enterprise value. He strives to make a meaningful impact in advancing the EverWind platform.
Prior to joining EverWind, Matt served as Head of Capital Markets & Treasury at Atlas Corp., where he played a pivotal role in defining, growing, and shaping the company’s platform of assets and businesses, and its capital structure, including leading the sourcing, structuring, and execution of over $15 billion in innovative financings. These included multiple first-of-their-kind sustainability-linked and green instruments across global markets, as well as complex ECA-backed structures and asset-based lending solutions. His efforts were instrumental in executing more than $9 billion in maritime and energy transactions.
Outside of work, Matt finds joy in playing and watching sports, specifically skiing, soccer, hockey, and running.

Melvin is a seasoned marine engineer and operations leader who brings strong technical expertise, steady leadership, and a solutions-focused approach to EverWind’s marine operations. As Manager of Strait Marine Services, he oversees tug operations, manages the lines boat contract, and serves as a key liaison between vessel pilots and terminal operations. With over 25 years of experience at the Point Tupper terminal, Melvin plays a central role in ensuring safe, reliable vessel movements that support EverWind’s growing marine activities.
Prior to joining EverWind’s management team, Melvin worked as a Chief Engineer with Atlantic Towing and spent several years self-employed in marine services, which strengthened his skills in project planning, budgeting, and hands-on problem solving. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to a wide range of marine projects, including the complex and memorable task of moving homes by sea.
Outside of work, Melvin enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, rebuilding heavy equipment, carpentry, and working on vehicles. He also operates a small home sawmill and stays active through hockey. His grandchildren continue to keep him grounded, inspired, and joyful.

With over 20 years of experience developing renewable energy assets and ancillary infrastructure, coupled with an Honours BA and a Master of Science in Environmental Planning from the University of Toronto, Rebecca’s expertise is crucial to EverWind as we continue to advance sustainable energy solutions.
As Head of Renewables, Rebecca oversees the execution of the renewable energy portfolio through development, construction, and into operations, with a laser focus on optimization and innovation to drive down the cost of power to facilitate EverWind’s green ammonia production.
Prior to joining EverWind, Rebecca was a senior member of a global renewable energy company leading utility-scale wind and solar developments and asset sales across Canada, and led the initial start-up of the North American asset management division. Her previous roles included Director of Development at a Toronto-based IPP and Associate at a large Canadian consulting firm. Rebecca has served as an expert witness in support of a Canadian ISO and provided expert testimony within proceedings under the Ontario Environmental Review Tribunal and the Alberta Utilities Commission, all with respect to renewable energy projects.
Rebecca is also an avid traveler, owns a 75-acre hobby farm, and loves any kind of adventure.

Tyler is an engineer and project development leader who works at the intersection of engineering, commercial strategy, and community engagement to advance EverWind’s wind projects from early concept through to shovel-ready status. His work includes overseeing wind resource assessments, project layouts, land access and leasing, environmental assessments, permitting, and energy modelling, while coordinating across internal teams and external stakeholders.
With nearly 20 years of experience in energy infrastructure development across six continents, Tyler brings a practical, risk-aware approach to building technically sound and commercially viable projects. Prior to joining EverWind, he worked with Ashtead Technology on offshore oil and gas and offshore wind projects and with the Canada–Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board, contributing to regulatory oversight of energy activities. Tyler has worked on several wind projects in Europe, including the Neart na Gaoithe project in Scotland, supporting structural monitoring and analysis for wind turbine foundations.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children, staying active through cycling, running, and hockey, and values travel and outdoor experiences that shape his perspective on responsible energy development.
