Rate of Pay: $18 – 20/hr depending on year of study

About Us
EverWind Fuels is embarking on a Clean Energy Project that will create Nova Scotia’s first green hydrogen production facility and unlock the potential of Nova Scotia’s green economy. In addition to the Point Tupper Clean Energy Project, EverWind operates the Point Tupper Terminal which has 7.5 million barrels of storage capacity and specializes in storage, blending and transshipping of petroleum and petrochemical products.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented HR / Admin Summer Student to support our HR department over the summer months. This hands‑on position provides exposure to core HR activities and projects while supporting day‑to‑day administrative operations. The successful candidate will gain practical experience across multiple HR areas in a fast‑paced, professional environment.
Major Accountabilities
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager across a range of initiatives and daily activities.
- Assist with HR documentation, including maintaining employee records, filing, and data entry in HR systems.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation activities to support a positive new‑hire experience.
- Help research, update, and organize HR policies, procedures, and internal communications.
- Assist with the planning and day-of-activities of the annual charity golf tournament.
- Assist with the planning and execution of various employee and community events over the summer.
- Support payroll, benefits administration, and other employment‑related processes as assigned.
- Assist with the implementation of a new HRIS.
- Coordinate corporate donations.
Education, Skills & Experience
- Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
